This is an exciting opportunity to join the Sunday Times North Independent Secondary School of the Decade. We are seeking an enthusiastic and passionate female Outdoor learning assistant. We are looking for a female assistant due to team ratios and pupil needs for overnight visits.

This dynamic role offers the chance to work under the guidance of the Head of Outdoor Learning, significantly supporting the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award (DofE) programme alongside other outdoor learning activities.

As an Outdoor Learning Assistant, you will be pivotal in delivering high-quality instruction and leading various curriculum visits for students aged 11-18. This position entails a hands-on approach to outdoor education, from planning and leading trips to maintaining equipment and enhancing our outdoor learning curriculum. This role requires flexibility, including frequent overnight residential stays and significant involvement in DofE expeditions.

Based in the picturesque north Leeds on our 140-acre site you will bring a robust background in outdoor education, supported by a range of relevant qualifications including the Summer Mountain Leader Award and SPA/RCI.

A passion for working with young people, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to child protection are essential. The ability to work flexibly and participate in residential trips is a must.
